Dr. Colin Funk is a biomedical research scientist, medical writer, and educator with an extensive background in establishing, developing, and leading university-industry research partnerships. His research areas include targeted therapeutics for liver disorders, stem cells and gene editing, inflammatory disease, as well as cannabinoid biosynthesis and endocannabinoids. Dr. Funk is skilled in communication, with successful grant writing that has led to collaborative team projects and influential international publications and presentations.
Currently, Dr. Funk is working for Novateur Ventures on the landscape of cannabinoid biosynthesis. He holds a PhD in Experimental Medicine from McGill University, and he was a postdoctoral researcher in Physiological Chemistry at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden.
